Drop by the Lake House for this hands-on program, where Ranger Noah will be displaying a collection of furs, feathers, and skulls. Test your knowledge of local birds and mammals and learn about the unique traits that set these animals apart. This program is a "come and go" style display, so visitors are welcome to stop by at any point during the two-hour program window.

Enjoy this free showing of "Happy Feet" (Rated PG) by a warm, crackling fire. Popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase at the Snack Bar, as well as complimentary s’mores.
March 12: Time to Wake Up Hike
9 a.m. at the Lake House (weather permitting)
Join Ranger Noah on this moderate-to-difficult 3-mile hike of the Turnpike Trail, Dog Leg Trail, and Acorn Loop, and learn about what local animals you can expect to see waking up soon from hibernation.

Join Ranger Noah on this brisk, 4-mile hike and experience the revitalizing effects of outdoor exercise.
March 19: Transition of the Seasons Hike
9 a.m. at the Lake House (weather permitting)
Embrace the last remaining days of winter on this easy-to-moderate 2-mile hike and learn how to observe the different ways that the forest is transitioning from winter into spring.
March 20: Spring Equinox Night Hike
8 p.m. at the Lake House (weather permitting)
Celebrate the Spring Equinox by joining Ranger Noah on this easy 1-mile night hike. Listen for the sounds of the spring peepers, feel the warmer weather coming, and watch for the stars in the sky.
March 25: Hickory Syrup Making and Tasting
2 p.m. at the Lake House
Come out and enjoy this fun and unique opportunity to make hickory syrup from shagbark hickory trees. Ranger Noah will take you through all the steps you need to know to make your own hickory syrup at home. Free samples will be offered at the end of the program.

Join Ranger Noah on this easy 2-mile hike and learn how to identify different types of trees without their leaves.
